Delegates of the World Whale Conference 2017 are invited to take part in one of two local excursions on Saturday 24th June, prior to the start of the conference. The safari option is also available after the conference on Friday 30 June.
Whale Watching Tour
WCA Partner, Advantage Tours offer fantastic whale watching cruises within the iSimangaliso Wetland Park, located on the southern-most tip of the Elephant Coast, KwaZulu Natal, South Africa. They were successful in acquiring the only Boat Based Whale and Dolphin Watching permit for the St Lucia section of the Greater St Lucia Wetlands Park in 1998.
With Advantage Tours, conference delegates can enjoy a 2-hour whale watching cruise out of Durban Harbour on the morning of Saturday 24th June, hoping to catch a glimpse of the migrating humpback whales on their way north along the African coastline, and other marine animals. The cruise will be onboard the 40 seater vessel, DA BOSS. This cruise is solely for delegates of the World Whale Conference 2017.

Several distinctive and remarkable plant species are also to be found. The fiery aloe in full bloom, the imposing euphorbia and the smell of the fragrant wild sage on a dewy morning make every stay at the reserve unique and memorable.
